About

I am a Syrian-Norwegian visual artist with a background in Visual Communication and Fine Art from the University of Damascus. In Norway, I pursued a Master’s degree in Aesthetic Studies – Art in Society at OsloMet, where I explore the role of art in the intersection between the individual, society, and nature.

I have participated in exhibitions across the Middle East and Europe, including in Austria, Paris, and Norway.

In Norway, I have been actively involved in the art scene through group exhibitions. I have also worked at Haugar Kunstmuseum, where I contributed to art mediation and the development of youth-focused projects. This experience has been important in shaping my practice, allowing me to connect artistic work with social engagement and community building.

My practice primarily focuses on painting and mixed media.

Through my work, I explore themes of memory, identity, nature, and belonging. Forests and landscapes frequently appear as metaphors for memory, loss, and reconstruction.

For me, art goes beyond the visual. I aim to create works that engage the senses, evoke reflection, and open space for dialogue between people, experiences, and environments.
